High Speed Internet
I just upgraded my broadband to Verizon FIOS (Fiber Optic) 15 mbit/sec download and 2mbit/sec upload. $45/month. I'm now 20 times faster than I was before and over 10 times faster than what I get at my office (a high tech company, though not the main office). I can download from my corporate sites faster at home over a VPN than I can in the office!
Where was the Press
Perhaps the most astounding thing surrounding the whole "why wasn't the press notified immediately" "controversy" is where was the press in the first place.
According to reports, an ambulance always accompanies Vice President Dick Cheney. Cheney's friend gets shot, is loaded into this ambulance, which presumably sped away with lights and sirens. Not one person in the press noticed, which probably means there wasn't one person from the press accompanying the VP.

Kerry Campaign contintues to Email
The Kerry Campaign continues to send out email that Earthlink tags as "known spam." (Which means enough people reported it as spam that they've tagged the sender as a known spammer). Given that I actually want to receive these emails (though not for the reason Kerry continues send them) I've marked them as "Not Spam" for forwarding to the appropriate Earthlink people to figure out why they mark them as spam. Comments on their emails at Kerry Trap.

Iran supplying Iraq Terrorists?
Little Green Footballs reports that Iran has been caught supplying the terrorists in Iraq with high explosives. This is an act of war for which we need to respond.
We must always remember that in that part of the world restraint is not a virtue--it is a sign of weakness. If the Democrats in this country had stood behind our President in the GWOT, I doubt the Iranians would have been willing to do this. They clearly don't believe we have the will power to do anything about it.

MIT Student "annoyed" if another attack.
In an article on foxnews.com titled "Boston Terror Plot Suspect in Custody" MIT graduant student Patrice Diaz-Migoyo says (towards the end), "My first reaction, because I lived in Greenwich Village on Sept. 11, was annoyance if I happened to be in the two cities that got struck."
